Educational Management Strategies for Building a Sustainable Halal Ecosystem in Islamic Universities

This study reviews on the findings concerning the management strategies required to cultivate a sustainable halal ecosystem in Islamic universities. The study reviewed existing literature through a systematic literature review (SLR) to assess governance, leadership, and policies intrinsic to halal value-based education. It found that. effective educational management is instrumental in aligning university administration practices with halal principles, which promotes the Islamic educational paradigm while meeting contemporary sustainability goals. Through the analysis of various case studies and management frameworks, the research identified key strategies that Islamic institutions can deploy to nurture a cohesive halal ecosystem. These strategies include enhancing teacher quality, refining curriculum design to integrate halal ethics, and establishing strong partnerships with halal certification bodies. Moreover, it was revealed that transformative leadership is vital to fostering a culture of accountability and responsiveness towards community stakeholders, thereby aligning institutional goals with societal expectations. The contributions of this research lie in the provision of a comprehensive educational management model rooted in halal values, emphasizing the urgency for continuous improvement and adaptation to global educational demands. By employing methodologies that leverage stakeholder feedback, Islamic universities can enhance their operational frameworks to better support a sustainable halal ecosystem. Thus, this study addresses the pressing need for institutions to evolve their educational management practices to ensure relevance and effectiveness in a rapidly changing global landscape.References
