Descriptive Analysis of Halal Culinary Identity and Regional Uniqueness in Bandar Lampung

This study aims to describe and analyze the formation of halal culinary identity and its relationship with regional uniqueness in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research explores how cultural heritage, local culinary practices, institutional frameworks, and community values interact to shape a distinctive halal culinary ecosystem. Secondary data sources—including academic publications, government reports, and policy documents—were analyzed to identify existing conditions, opportunities, and challenges in the development of halal culinary branding in the region. The findings highlight the importance of collaborative efforts among government institutions, SMEs, and communities in strengthening halal literacy, promoting certification adoption, and enhancing local branding. This study contributes to the theoretical understanding of halal gastronomy and provides practical insights for policymakers and culinary entrepreneurs to integrate religious values with local culture as a foundation for sustainable regional development.References
